Brooke Porter & her RM

Yesterday a most wonderful Young Lady I know, Brooke Porter needed some help with a contest.
She and her fiance entered a contest to win an engagement ring. Brooke is from Great Falls. My first Ward I was ever in. She is the daughter of Susan and Barclay Porter. They are such a great family and Brooke is one of the sweetest girls I know. She is in her 3rd year at BYU in Provo, Utah. She seems so happy in her video. I hope she wins. Anyways, it reminded me of the kind of life I want for my boys. When they are Return Missionaries and come home and go to school, I hope and pray they find their dream girl. Garrett Wahlquist has no idea how lucky he is to have Brooke! She is so awesome! Just some thoughts I had about it! Doesn't every mother want the best for their children? I hope my boys lead a life that will grant them such a wonderful gift from our Father in Heaven.
Sooooo, speaking of.....Sunday, just a few days ago, Clayton is in his 1st 5th Sunday Combined YM/YW meeting for church. It's his 3rd Sunday since being ordained as a Deacon. President Jensen asked all the young ladies if they wanted to marry a Return Missionary. They all raised their hands and said yes. Then, President Jensen asked the Young Men, "what does that mean if you don't go on a mission?" Clayton raised his hand, he said, "It means you won't get all the ladies!"
Such a great answer. Getting a "lady" from our Heavenly Father is going to be a great reward for them as they return from their missions!

Here is Brooke's video for her contest....Love the song!!!!

  1. Clayton cracks me up! I was told once that a mission is the only way for boys to get rid of the cooties. :)
