A skate at The Peaks in Provo

Carl decided he wanted to take the boys out for a skate at The Peaks. It's a rink in Provo. Clayton complained the whole time about having to go....I made him go because he hasn't been on the ice for more than a month and he was going to be starting his clinic in Everett this week. The minute he got on the ice, his mood changed. He had a blast (as usual). They raced and played the whole time. They even got in a usual disagreement with a Figure Skater. This unfortunatly is a not a unique situation in any rink. Figure Skaters hate Hockey Players and somehow they feel that their $5.00 fee to skate is worth more than the $15.00 my husband pays for the three of them to skate. They are extremely bossy about hockey players skating fast. They prefer the people that they share the ice with to be beginners hanging on to the rails so they can have the whole ice to themselves. Sharing is not a concept Figure Skaters grasp well. So, after this middle aged beginner Figure Skater gave Clayton an earful about him skating in HER space, he asked her if she was paying more for the ice than him? And if not, he would skate where he wanted to skate. Carl approaches her and asks why is she yelling at Clayton? She can talk to him, you know....the parent. As she was complaining, Carl simply asked "are you one of those Figure Skaters who don't like Hockey Players?" So, she skated off. Then she complained. The rink sided with Clayton and Carl. She then decides to bring out some cones. She blocked off some ice with 4 cones. So, Carl went and complained. The rink management said she has been warned not to do that and they can skate where ever they choose, cone or no cone. So Carl and the boys decided that this cone thing may be a good thing. They used HER cones for hockey drills! Carl said he'd never actually seen steam come out of someone's head until then. She was MAD! hahahahahahahaha
I wish I had been there.
Here's a few pictures that Grandpa Heber took...
