Are you safe?

Have you ever googled yourself? Have you ever found that when doing so, you will probably find your house. Your address and/or a picture of your house. Or you can just google map your address and a picture of your house will appear. Isn't that clever! So now robbers and thieves can case your house with ease. I only mention this, because my house has been targeted for 2 car break-ins. My tailgate has been stolen from my truck (no that isn't a joke). Both of my son's bikes have been stolen from our backyard. We have had an oil pan and a bike tire pump stolen from our backyard as well. Looking at the pictures of my house online, I can see why a robber would know exactly where to find what he is looking for. My backyard is in clear view and everything in my backyard is in plain sight. Six foot fences are no longer a guard to such invasion of privacy because now the drive by camera guy has cameras at 8 feet. You can also see my vehicles parked in my front yard as well. Turns out, I am not alone in this worry. I found some stories related to this very thing on the "survivalguy" blog. There is a way to impede the views as long as you stay on top of it.
